It might seem outrageous at first glance, but the similarities between 'Harry Potter' and 'The Secret of the Pyramid' are astounding:
First, the structure of the protagonist trios is similar. Both feature two boys and a girl in a school setting, trying to solve mysteries. 🧑🤝🧑👧 Sounds familiar, doesn't it? Furthermore, details in the characters' traits such as the round glasses, the hairstyle, and even the protagonists' personalities show great coincidences.
The gothic school environment and the presence of a hidden evil being are other similarities that jump out. Even the interior design of Hogwarts resembles that of the private school Watson and Holmes attend. 🏰👀 Also, the fencing scenes remind us quite a bit of Quidditch. ⚔️🧹
Was JK Rowling inspired by the 1985 movie? Or is it simply a coincidence? Regardless of the answer, this theory opens up an interesting debate about originality and inspiration in literature. What do you guys think?
