*Don't Mourn When I'm Gone*
*©Karim Man De Poet*
I can't seem to figure this out,
I'm at a loss for what to do,
I need to escape this world of cruelty,
Leaving this harsh existence behind.
I need to say farewell,
My last farewell will suffice,
I'm drowning in muddled thoughts,
Overwhelmed by my jumbled thoughts.
The biting cold of these winter streets,
Remind me of the pain I feel inside,
Though my emotions are conflicted,I know there's hope beyond these walls.
I'm more than the sum of my suffering,
A human with a beating heart,
I'll find my way in the dark,
Through the endless possibility ahead.
So when I'm gone, don't mourn my loss,
But celebrate the life I lived,
And know that I'm at peace,
In a world beyond this strife.
