Overview: Open Minds Institute (OMI) is a think & do tank fighting authoritarianism, propaganda, and measuring the effectiveness of counter-influence communication campaigns.

Main duties:
• design, develop, and implement machine learning models and algorithms for semantic search, sentiment analysis, text clustering, and text summarization tasks
• train and fine-tune large language models using transformer architectures like GPT, BERT, or RoBERTa
• extract and process social media data as a source for training and evaluating NLP models
• ensure scalability of ML models by leveraging cloud computing platforms like Google Cloud Platform (GCP)

Requirements:
• strong background in machine learning, natural language processing, and deep learning techniques
• proficiency in programming languages such as Python and experience with ML libraries/frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Keras8
• in-depth knowledge of large language models, including transformer architectures like GPT, BERT, or RoBERTa
• familiarity with state-of-the-art NLP libraries and frameworks, such as Hugging Face
