Should you wait for monthly compilations or make notes?

What is tested in this exam?- Lets reverse engineer the process

🅾️3) For prelims it is about memory - awareness of certain facts and awareness of the context in which these facts are important- Your foundation courses are important -> i.e static syllabus - Next stage is to connect the latest facts from Newspapers- this factual compilation is now posted on

⚜️Other channels are for subject wise revision : follow based on your interests

Learning is a process that needs daily engagement...So I suggest reading news. Because it will stick in our mind for a longer time. I suggest active learning: meaning... Strain your mind... Don't be a passive receipient of information. Let the news items question your intelligence

Ps. I know reading paper takes time in the initial days. That is why I started this initiative so that you don't waste more time. Record the time taken for you to read the news ..in the initial days it would be 2 hrs. The objective here in this channel is to reduce it to 40 min - Dont make any notes from newspapers everyday as you wont understand how to skip unnecessary info- Only experience can help you with it- Take magazines help here- when you get any monthly magazine- add whatever newspaper info you read to those magazines- If that is not convenient- you can consider VK IAS's current affairs cum mentorship programs that can ease your preparation and streamline all the learnings into practical wisdom.

🛑If you are a fresher, I would strongly recommend reading newspapers because that way, you can appreciate the real life issues as well. Senior aspirants who already gave mains are in a better position to know their weak points. So use this channel sources accordingly to suit your needs.
