Whom should be used to refer to the object of a verb or preposition. When in doubt, try this simple trick: If you can replace the word with “he”’ or “’she,” use who. If you can replace it with “him” or “her,” use whom.

👈در جمله واره های وصفی چنانچه ضمیر موصولی به مفعول جمله واره وصفی اشاره داشته باشد، می توان از who و whom استفاده کرد.

🔻I know who/whom he called.

👈ولی اگر ضمیر موصولی به مفعول حرف اضافه اشاره داشته باشد، به دو صورت عمل می شود.

🔹I know who/whom they were talking about.
🔸I know about whom they were talking about.

✍ همانطور که می بینید اگر حرف اضافه بلافاصله قبل از ضمیر موصولی قرار بگیرد تنها می توان از whom استفاده کرد.

🔑 توجه داشته باشید که به همراه ضمیرهای موصولی where و when از حرف اضافه استفاده نمی شود.
