In Russia, as you may know, the events of those days are better known as the Great Patriotic War. Once again we see the parades under the SS-banners in certain European towns. 💬 It’s important to note that the majority of the world […] understand the significance of the date, share our feelings and recognize the role of the Soviet Union in bringing peace and liberty to Europe and beyond. The attendance of the Victory Parade in Moscow by the leaders of 27 nations from around the globe shows that clearly. And it’s particularly heartwarming for me personally that the Kingdom of Bahrain – my current station - is also among the states that express their solidarity with us on this blessed occasion, as indicated by the cable sent yesterday by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa to His Excellency President Vladimir Putin […].
