Call for Associate Editor position
Dear colleagues
We are willing to accept applications from electrical, computer and biomedical engineering professors for the position of Associate Editor of Iranian Journal of Science and Technology-Transactions of Electrical Engineering (ISTE).
The ISTE journal, which has an impact factor of 1.5, is ISI-indexed and published by Springer. It covers research in biomedical, communications, computer, control systems, electronics, and power engineering. Requests for associate editor position in all these areas is accepted. The essential minimum requirements that all applicants should meet, and which should be covered by enclosed CV include:
1. The applicant should have a PhD degree in one of the above-mentioned fields from one of the prestigious universities.
2. Minimum of 3 years of academic experience as full time academic is required.
3. It is expected that the applicant has published at least 5 ISI journal papers in the last 5 years of which at least 3 should be published in journals categorized in Q1 or Q2 Quartile.
4. The applicant should have no retracted paper in his/her academic profile.
5. Previous experience and involvement in research evaluation of ISI-indexed journals as a reviewer or editor is required.
Criteria 1-5 above should be addressed in a resume/CV document not exceeding 3 pages.
Certificates of presenting papers or organizing a workshop in international conferences is not essential, but will have a positive effect on the application. Major academic activities should be written in the CV.

The deadline for application is 20th of May 2025.
After receiving the applications, the EIC and the senior editors of ISTE will shortlist candidates and provide them with detailed information on the responsibilities, expectations and guidelines of ISTE editorial work in June. Then, the final approved applicants will be introduced to Springer publications for further actions.
