Job Title: Machine Learning Intern - Automatic License Plate Recognition (ALPR) Model Training

Job Description:
We are seeking a highly motivated Machine Learning Intern to join our team and assist in training a model for Automatic License Plate Recognition (ALPR) service. This internship offers an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge technology in the field of computer vision and machine learning while gaining hands-on experience in model development, deployment, and mobile inferencing.

Major Tasks:
1. Data Collection and Preprocessing: Assist in gathering and preprocessing a diverse dataset of license plate images, ensuring data quality and consistency.

2. Model Development: Collaborate with the team to develop and fine-tune machine learning models for ALPR using state-of-the-art algorithms and techniques.

3. Training and Evaluation: Implement training pipelines and conduct experiments to train the model on the collected dataset, evaluating performance using appropriate metrics.

4. Hyperparameter Tuning: Explore various hyperparameters and optimization strategies to enhance model accuracy and robustness.

5. Model Deployment: Work towards deploying the trained model into a production environment, ensuring compatibility and efficiency. Additionally, optimize the model for deployment on mobile devices to enable real-time inferencing.

6. Mobile Inferencing: Develop and implement efficient inferencing strategies to enable the ALPR model to run effectively on mobile devices, considering constraints such as computational resources and power consumption.

7. Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of the model development process, including methodologies, findings, and best practices, with specific focus on mobile deployment and inferencing.


Experiences Required:
1. Education: Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field with a focus on machine learning, computer vision, or artificial intelligence.

2. Programming Skills: Proficiency in Python programming language and experience with popular machine learning libraries such as TensorFlow or PyTorch.

3. Machine Learning Fundamentals: Understanding of machine learning concepts including supervised learning, neural networks, and convolutional neural networks (CNNs).

4. Data Handling: Familiarity with data manipulation and preprocessing techniques using libraries like NumPy, pandas, and OpenCV.

5. Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to experiment, iterate, and adapt to challenges in a fast-paced environment.

6. Teamwork and Communication: Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team setting, sharing ideas and contributing to discussions effectively.

7. Initiative and Eagerness to Learn: Proactive attitude towards learning new technologies and methodologies, with a keen interest in advancing skills and knowledge in machine learning and computer vision.
