Today we're celebrating Russia Day! It is one of the newest national public holidays in Russia (since 1992).

Russia Day is a symbol of national unity and common responsibility for the prosperity of the country. Together with our students from all around the globe, we wish Russia and its people well-being, success, and long-term stability.

🇷🇺🇷🇺 On this day, the country holds festive concerts, open-air celebrations, and sports contests. The President traditionally grants State Awards for outstanding achievements in the field of science and technology, literature, art, and humanitarian activities in the Kremlin.

🇷🇺 Don't miss out on the opportunity to attend festive events that will be held in the Mayakovsky Park, the Historical Square, and the Rodygin Ural Center of Folk Arts!

The international Master's students of the IT Innovations in Business program successfully defended their theses! 🥳

They worked on topics such as applying machine learning to predict project success for African startups, predicting inventory levels using automated machine learning, and deep learning in healthcare contexts.

📨 The UrFU admission campaign starts soon!
The receipt of documents for Bachelor's, Specialist, Master's, and Postgraduate programs at the Ural Federal University starts on June 20. 🏛 13 institutes and four branches of UFU admit students to 379 educational programs (182 Bachelor's and Specialist programs and 197 Master's programs). In 2024, students will be able to study new programs for the first time!

The number of Chinese students to multiply by 2025 🇨🇳
At least 200 new Chinese students will enter the Ural Federal University by next year - only three programs with Dalian University will provide this number. In addition, about ten other educational initiatives are currently underway.

Bachelor's degrees in Management, Design, and Media Communications are based on the "2+2" formula: the first two years in China on the basic program and Russian language, then two more years in Ekaterinburg.

🏛 Cooperation between the universities is expanding. In Dalian, rector Victor Koksharov signed four agreements on opening new English-language Master's programs, including sports and economics. The programs will begin this year.

The meeting with the management of the Chinese university was preceded by communication with 171 students. They were interested in the development of the new UrFU campus in the Novokoltsovsky district of the Urals capital.

The Governor of the Sverdlovsk Region, Yevgeny Kuyvashev, has awarded Sergei Sarapulov, the Director of the Ural Power Engineering Institute, with the Badge of Honor of the Sverdlovsk Region "For Merits to the Sverdlovsk Region".

💡The Ural Power Engineering Institute studies modern power engineering, energy conservation, automation, accounting, and energy economics. Over 2,000 students study at the institute. UralENIN has 53 professors and doctors of science on its faculty. Up to 30% of the faculty are industry professionals.
