被稱為"47人案"的香港最大政治案定於11 月27 日繼續開庭審理。11月18日和19日，在英國列斯、雷丁、卡迪夫和伯明罕的香港人組織，在街頭舉行了快閃靜默抗議活動，計劃於25日和26日在謝菲爾德和悉尼等城市繼續示威。
活動組織者對美國之音表示，此次活動旨在「透過引發公眾關注的行動，揭示香港政治迫害的真相。」香港47人案2020 年，中國全國人民代表大會繞過香港立法機構，直接針對香港制定了《中華人民共和國香港特別行政區維護國家安全法》。
克洛伊·張是列斯手足連線的創始人，他告訴美國之音，18日的於英國列斯的靜默抗議吸引了許多英國當地人的注意。
「我們鼓勵當地民眾拍照並在社群媒體上分享，並附上#拯救香港政治犯#、#香港47#、#無罪#等標籤。我們也倡議大家簽署請願書，督促英國政府去製裁香港政府官員。當我們告訴當地人在香港舉行正常示威民主活動可能導致終身監禁時，他們都非常的震驚。」可是，他們在現場也經受了來自中國大陸的留學生的言語攻擊。
「很多中國大陸的留學生拿著手機，故意靠我們很近來拍我們臉部的照片，有的人大聲地用髒話罵我們，說我們被洗腦了，是傻瓜，不敢光明正大的抗議。我會走過去告訴他們我們的訴求，並且問他們來這裡幹嘛，他們有些人說自己不敢說什麼不了解香港的情況，但是會大聲說香港是中國的一部分，只有一個中國。」
此次抗議的參與者，列斯手足連線的成員鮑里斯對美國之音說，這次示威激起了他內心很多複雜情緒。
「我們抓住機會，行使言論自由，進行抗議，旨在提高人們對香港持續存在的政治迫害的認識。在交談中，我意識到，作為香港人，我們團結一致，反對中國共產黨強加給我們的不公義。然而，當一些愛國的中國人選擇無意義的侮辱而不是進行有意義的對話時，我感到沮喪。最後，一種憂慮感在我心中揮之不去，更加擔心目前被中共壓迫和所有監禁的政治犯的福祉。」
「蘇格蘭香港人」創始人郭子健對本次運動的請願環節抱有很大的期待。
郭子健認為英國政府對香港有照顧的責任，因為中國單方面違背了香港五十年不變的承諾。
「中國在聯合聲明中對英國承諾香港五十年不變，但是如今香港自由的公民社會卻已經消逝。所以我們要督促英國政府履行這個責任，對香港問題持續關注，」郭子健對美國之音說。

Today, the HK Labour Rights Monitor and Workers against the CCP organised a protest outside the Chinese embassy. Speakers included former HKCTU chief executive Christopher Mung, a representative from Unison, and a representative from the BASSA.
