Earlier today, Astar Network proudly announced that Mazda Motor Corporation is participating in Astar zkEVM’s launch campaign, ‘Yoki Originals’. 

Notably, Astar zkEVM recently set a new industry standard, being the world’s first Ethereum Layer-2 solution using Polygon CDK and integrating Polygon AggLayer alongside. 

Celebrating such an achievement, 10 Mazda-themed Yoki Origins NFTs are now available through this campaign, gearing up traditional Japanese aesthetics with the automaker’s cutting-edge style for a distinctive blend of heritage and modernity.

Doge Mirrors the Hyped Bitcoin Ordinals Runestone Airdrop

Doge, an iconic symbol of internet meme culture, has evolved into fractionalised NFTs and transformed into fast-food workers. Most recently, however, it has expanded into Bitcoin Ordinals with the introduction of ‘Doge Runestone’. 

Aiming to mirror Runestone’s Triumph this 100% volunteer-based initiative has now distributed 30,272 Dogecoin NFTs, adopting the same “free and fair” philosophy as Runestone itself. 

Following its airdrop on April 2, these Dogecoin NFTs are now finding their way into secondary marketplaces, whereby the virtual collectibles are garnering an abundance of interest. 

On Ordinals Wallet, the NFT project’s floor price is currently $33 (188 $DOGE), with its total volume nearing $16,700 (89236.53918 $DOGE).

The Sei Foundation has recently announced its partnership with Gitcoin to introduce the Sei Creator Fund, an initiative aimed at supporting creators and builders in the Sei ecosystem.

With an allocation of $10M, the fund is intended to fuel the development of new projects and bolster the expansion of existing endeavors within the Sei community, focusing on its NFTs and social platforms.

The Sei Creator Fund seeks to empower creators across various domains, including collections, applications, infrastructure, content creation, and real-world events and projects at any stage of development are eligible to apply for funding.

Adidas and STEPN Team Up for High-Tech Sneaker NFTs

STEPN is making moves. Following its significant $100M $GMT airdrop the Move-to-Earn mobile app unveiled Genesis Sneaker NFTs in partnership with Adidas and its web3 venture, ALTS by Adidas. 

On April 17, 1,000 co-created sneaker NFTs will launch on Solana through a digital raffle by the FSL Ecosystem which is tied to STEPN’s MOAAR marketplace and the web3 game Gas Hero.

“A lot more to come” has also been teased, fueling excitement among blockchain and sneaker buffs. However, it remains unclear whether these digital assets will include physical counterparts, like the “Adidas X Crazyfast Bugatti” football boots.

PayPal Revises Buyer and Seller Policy for NFT Transactions

PayPal, the renowned payment giant, has announced revisions to its trading policy regarding NFTs effective May 20.

The company will no longer offer buyer protection for NFT purchases, and it will amend its seller protection program, removing safeguards for transactions involving NFTs valued above or below $10,000.

Under the revised policy, NFT sales exceeding the threshold will no longer be covered against false claims and chargebacks while for transactions below this threshold, seller protection will only apply if the buyer claims it was unauthorized and meets all other eligibility requirements.

CyberKongz Bitcoin NFTs Near $5M Market Cap Under 24 Hours

CyberKongz began airdropping its first batch of Bitcoin NFTs yesterday—strategically ahead of tomorrow’s Runes Protocol debut and the Bitcoin Halving event.

The NFT project dubbed ‘Prometheans’ aims to release 21,000 assets across 16 different batches. To date, 8,400 NFTs have been airdropped to 20 leading Ordinals communities and 1,200 CyberKongz holders on the Ethereum blockchain. 

“One of the most important aspects of Prometheans was to onboard individuals from other chains into Ordinals, to show them the beauty of what is happening,” states CyberKongz in an X post. 

Akin to the successful Bitcoin Ordinals airdrop Runestone, trading on Magic Eden (ME) soon followed the debut. Already, Prometheans hold an average price tag of around $1,697 apiece (0.0275 BTC) on the secondary marketplace.

Former Disney boss launches Web3 game studio with Marvel, Star Wars talent

The team’s first game, PlanetQuest, has reportedly onboarded over 200K NFT holders.

A team of Hollywood and gaming luminaries have joined forces to launch a AAA web3 games studio in the United Arab Emirates. 

Dubbed “Galactic Entertainment Publishing,” the recently launched venture represents the first arm of parent company Galactic Group.

The firm’s inaugural endeavor, PlanetQuest, has been in active development since 2022. Loren Roosendaal, CEO of Galactic Entertainment and founder of PlanetQuest, told, despite the game not having launched yet, it’s installed a massive userbase:

“PlanetQuest passport holders account for over 300,000 connected wallets, over 200,000 of which hold one or more PlanetQuest NFTs.”

Maison Margiela Debuts in Web3 Fashion with MetaTABI Collection

Maison Margiela, in collaboration with digital fashion house The Fabricant, has introduced its inaugural web3 fashion collection, the MetaTABI Collection.

Combining physical products with digital experiences through NFTs, the collection offers two editions: 15 Tier 1 NFTs in white and 1,500 Tier 2 NFTs in black.

Tier 1 holders will receive a pair of customized Tabi boots with hand-painted gold finish, and Tier 2 holders will receive with a leather wallet housing a printed crypto wallet number.

Fansland is elevating the live event experience by unveiling an NFT ticketing system for its large music festival in Bangkok, taking place from May 4 to 5. 

Following a successful $10 million funding round led by IME, Linear Capital, and Falablock, the fan-centric blockchain ecosystem is set to host the Fansland Festival at the IMPACT Arena — one of Thailand’s largest indoor concert halls. 

Around 40,000 attendees are expected to gather at IMPACT for two days of live performances by renowned artists like PSY (Gangnam Style), Edison Chen, Henry Lau, and Chuang Asia, among others.
