Instagram has started testing its new process of age verification in the US. Any user who attempts to change their age on the app will have to verify their age using one of the three options available after this new Instagram update:

❌Users must upload an identification document, such as a driver's license or other identity card, when changing their age on the app. Alternatively, they can opt to upload a video selfie, which will display instructions for the process. Otis technology calculates the user's age based on facial traits and shares it with Instagram, and the image is then removed by Meta and Yoti.
