महान क्रांतिकारी अमर शहीद चंद्रशेखर आजाद की जयंती आज, जानिए क्या था उनका असली नाम

देश-दुनिया के इतिहास में 23 जुलाई का अहम स्थान है। भारतीय स्वतंत्रता आंदोलन के क्रांतिवीरों की दृष्टि से यह तारीख इतिहास के स्वर्णिम पन्नों में दर्ज है। दरअसल, इस दिन हम भारत की स्वाधीनता के लिए अपना सर्वस्व न्योछावर कर देने वाले, भारत माता के वीर सपूत, मध्यप्रदेश की माटी के गौरव, महान क्रांतिकारी अमर शहीद चंद्रशेखर आजाद की जयंती मनाते हैं और उनको श्रद्धांजलि अर्पित करते हैं। वे ऐसे शख्सियत बने जिन्होंने गुलामी के दौर में ‘आजादी’ का मंत्र फूंकने का काम किया।
इस संबंध में पीएम मोदी ने ट्वीट कर कहा, 'मैं मां भारती के दो महान सपूतों लोकमान्य तिलक और चंद्रशेखर आजाद को उनकी जयंती पर नमन करता हूं। ये दो दिग्गज साहस और देशभक्ति के प्रतीक हैं।' प्रधानमंत्री ने अपने 'मन की बात' एपिसोड की क्लिप भी साझा की जिसमें उन्होंने दो स्वतंत्रता सेनानियों को श्रद्धांजलि दी।

चंद्रशेखर आजाद का जन्म 23 जुलाई, 1906 को मध्य प्रदेश के वर्तमान अलीराजपुर जिले के भावरा गांव में हुआ था। चंद्रशेखर 1921 में स्वतंत्रता संग्राम में शामिल हुए, जब वे स्कूल के छात्र थे। दिसंबर 1921 में महात्मा गांधी ने असहयोग आंदोलन शुरू किया। चंद्रशेखर ने आंदोलन में हिस्सा लिया और उन्हें अंग्रेजों ने गिरफ्तार कर लिया।

उन्होंने अपने नाम के साथ ”आजाद” शब्द लगाया था। किवदंती है कि जब उन्होंने यह नाम अपनाया तो कसम खाई थी कि पुलिस उन्हें कभी भी जीवित नहीं पकड़ सकेगी। वे राम प्रसाद बिस्मिल द्वारा गठित क्रांतिकारी संगठन ”हिंदुस्तान रिपब्लिकन एसोसिएशन” में शामिल हो गए। 1925 में काकोरी रेल डकैती और 1928 में सहायक पुलिस अधीक्षक डॉन सॉन्डर्स की हत्या के कारण वे सबसे अधिक प्रसिद्ध हुए थे।

23 फरवरी 1931 को पुलिस ने आजाद को घेर लिया। उनकी दाहिनी जांग पर गोली लगी जिससे उनका बचना मुश्किल हो गया। उनकी पिस्तौल में एक गोली बची थी और वे पुलिस से घिरे हुए थे। इसलिए उनके पास बचने का कोई उपाय नहीं था। उन्होंने कभी जीवित नहीं पकड़े जाने की प्रतिज्ञा को ध्यान में रखते हुए खुद को गोली मार ली।

क्या था चंद्रशेखर आजाद का असली नाम ?

काकोरी ट्रेन डकैती और सॉन्डर्स की हत्या में शामिल निर्भय क्रांतिकारी चंद्रशेखर आजाद का वास्तविक नाम ”चंद्रशेखर सीताराम तिवारी” था। चंद्रशेखर आजाद का प्रारंभिक जीवन आदिवासी बाहुल्य क्षेत्र भावरा गांव में व्यतीत हुआ था।

चंद्रशेखर सीताराम तिवारी से कैसे बने चंद्रशेखर आजाद ?

भील बालकों के साथ रहते हुए चंद्रशेखर आजाद ने बचपन में ही धनुष बाण चलाना सीख लिया था। चंद्रशेखर आजाद की मां जगरानी देवी उन्हें संस्कृत का विद्वान बनाना चाहती थीं। इसीलिए उन्हें संस्कृत सीखने लिए काशी विद्यापीठ भेजा गया। दिसंबर 1921 में जब गांधी जी द्वारा असहयोग आंदोलन की शुरुआत की गई उस समय मात्र चौदह वर्ष की उम्र में चंद्रशेखर आजाद ने इस आंदोलन में भाग लिया। इस दौरान उन्हें गिरफ्तार कर मजिस्ट्रेट के समक्ष उपस्थित किया गया। जब चंद्रशेखर से उनका नाम पूछा गया तो उन्होंने अपना नाम आजाद और पिता का नाम स्वतंत्रता बताया। यहीं से चंद्रशेखर सीताराम तिवारी का नाम चंद्रशेखर आजाद पड़ गया। चंद्रशेखर को पंद्रह दिनों के कड़े कारावास की सजा सुनाई गई।

छोटी सी उम्र में देश की नजरों में आए

बेंत की सजा देने के लिए उनके कपड़े उतारकर निर्वसन किया गया। खंबे से बांधा गया और बेंत बरसाए गए। हर बेंत उनके शरीर की खाल उधेड़ता रहा और वे भारत माता की जय बोलते रहे। बारहवें बेंत पर अचेत हो गए फिर भी बेंत मारने वाला न रुका। उसने अचेत देह पर भी बेंत बरसाए। लहू-लुहान चन्द्रशेखर को उठाकर घर लाया गया। उन्हें स्वस्थ होने में और घाव भरने में एक माह से अधिक का समय लगा। इस घटना से चन्द्रशेखर आजाद की दृढ़ता और बढ़ी। इसका जिक्र पर पूरे भारत में हुआ। सभाओं में उदाहरण दिया जाने लगा। महात्मा गांधी ने भी इस घटना की आलोचना की और अपने विभिन्न लेखों में इस घटना का उल्लेख किया है।

1922 में जब गांधी जी ने असहयोग आंदोलन को स्थगित कर दिया था तो इस घटना ने चंद्रशेखर आजाद को आहत किया। उन्होंने ठान लिया कि किसी भी तरह देश को स्वतंत्रता दिलवानी ही है। एक युवा क्रांतिकारी प्रनवेश चटर्जी ने उन्हें हिंदुस्तान रिपब्लिकन एसोसिएशन जैसे क्रांतिकारी दल के संस्थापक राम प्रसाद बिस्मिल से मिलवाया। आजाद इस दल और बिस्मिल के समान स्वतंत्रता और बिना किसी भेदभाव के सभी को अधिकार जैसे विचारों से बहुत प्रभावित हुए।
