A significant tip for #writing task 2.

As we all know, writing is assessed according to the following criteria:

Task response : The relevance and support of the ideas
Coherence and Cohesion : The general organisation and understandability of the ideas
Grammatical Range and Accuracy : the correct usage of various grammar forms
Lexical Resource : the correct use of contextually suitable phrases with the right spelling

However, despite knowing the importance of TR and CC, many students tend to ignore them when they write essays.

In this post, I would like to stress the importance of these two criteria by making an analogy:

In construction, TR looks like the building, CC the number of rooms, LR the decoration of the rooms, and GRA like the accuracy in constructing the building.

You are asked to build a hotel, but you build a hospital. Yes, it is beautiful (vocabulary), and it is made with strong materials (grammar). However, do you think the customer likes your hospital?

✅The diagrams sometimes appear to include more information at first glance, which intimidates the candidates. Yet, a closer look and analysis allow us to group data and highlight the main features.

The bar chart encompasses the period spanning from 2012 to 2016, outlining what percentage of small, medium and large businesses run social media accounts.
 
Evidently, the bigger the business was, the higher presence they had on the social media. As for the overall trends, the figures for all three types of businesses trended upwards through a significant pullback in 2015. Of particular note are small and average-sized enterprises that are characterized by a pronounced surge as opposed to large-scale businesses with a relatively minimal rise.
 
In 2012, both small and medium businesses had a similar percentage of social media presence at around 30%, a figure which increased minimally by about 2% for the former and more markedly by 20% for the latter in 2013. However different the figures for both were in the following year, they both experienced a negative change to 30% in 2015, before a steep climb in the final year with the figures hovering around 50%.
 
As for large businesses, despite they dominating the social media with their presence, the changes for them were not as conspicuous as their counterparts operating on a small scale. Commencing the period at approximately 75%, the figure for them largely plateaued for the next two years, preceding a dramatic decline to 50% in 2015 and finally a substantial upswing to just under 80% in 2016.

✅A counterargument is an argument or viewpoint that opposes another argument. It acknowledges the opposing viewpoint and then refutes it, offering reasons or evidence to demonstrate why the original argument is flawed or invalid.

This is what I am including in Agree/Disagree essays now for better Task Achievement. Once you give my essay a read you will immediately get the sense of counterargument. I first presented two arguments in BodyA and then explained the problems with the very same points in BodyB.
