What is the difference between on the beach and at the beach?
•“On the beach” typically refers to being physically located directly on the sandy area by the water
•“At the beach” is a broader term that refers to being in the general vicinity of the beach, which could include the sand, the boardwalk, nearby shops, or any area close to the beach but not necessarily on the sand itself

Enjoy a high level report, making note of its useful language😊
Tip:
Always free up some time for understanding and analyzing the graph before you start writing your report. Keep in mind that many of our problems especially in Task Achievement are the result of not analyzing the diagram in detail.

Here is a sample answer given by a native speaker.
As you listen to it, I want to draw your attention to the fact that even native speakers do hesitate and mumble. Obviously, this is a band 9 answer but is still not flawless.
Many have a deceptive idea of how fluent speakers should sound. To get 7+ in speaking you should not speak like reporters on TV or radio. In fact, a fluent speaker can still hesitate but not because of the language issues. Their mumbling is attributable to looking for ideas rather than words and sentence structures and it is alright even at a native level. Or don’t you mumble in your first language at all😅?

Accurate usage of inversion in IELTS writing could affect your score in GRA. This is one way to vary your sentence structure.
Inversion is used for emphasis, dramatic purpose or formality. You start the sentence with adverbial phrase like the ones listed above and then you invert the subject and the auxiliary so they change places. The most commonly used phrases are "Not only, but also" , "No sooner" , "By no means" and " under no circumstances"

Did you know that passive voice is also sometimes used to avoid starting clauses with long expressions?
Compare the two following examples:
✅•We were surprised by the number of people trying to leave the city for the long weekend
❌•The number of people trying to leave the city for the long weekend surprised us
The first example showcases more natural English as it successfully avoids beginning the sentence with too long phrase.
