⚡️Channel Boosts FAQ

Channels can now share stories, customize their messages and more. If you're a Telegram Premium subscriber, you can help your favorite channels by boosting them.

With your 🌟 Telegram Premium subscription, you get 4 boosts on top of your other perks – which you can give to any channel. Channels that reach Level 1 are able to post one story per day, which increases with each additional level. At Level 5, they can choose a channel color, giving their messages a unique look.

Q: Why do bigger channels need more boosts?
A: To reach Level 1, a channel currently needs boosts from 0.1% of its subscribers. So, more subscribers mean more total boosts are required.

Q: How many levels are there?
A: There are 100 levels. A Level 100 channel can share up to 100 stories a day.

Q: How long does my boost last?
A: Once you boost a channel, it keeps your boost unless your Premium expires or you decide to boost another channel.

Q: Can I switch my boost to a different channel?
A: Yes, you can move your boost to another channel every 24 hours.

With Premium, you can choose a color or color combination for your account – changing the look of your name in all groups, the links you send and replies to your messages.

Additionally, you can choose an icon to create a custom pattern for quotes or replies to your messages.

Users who hide their read time aren't able to see read times from other users.

With Telegram Premium, you can hide your read time and still see the read times of users who share theirs with you.

If a user hides their read time, it is always hidden from all users, including Premium users.

Premium users can add multiple tags to Saved Messages to use them as search filters.

🆕⚡️Group Boosts FAQ

Premium users can also give the boosts included in their subscription to groups. If you are paying for your subscription yourself, you will have 4 boosts. Each subscription you gift will unlock 3 extra boosts for you while the gift recipient will get 1 boost. Like channels, groups can also host a giveaway – the group will directly receive all 4 boosts from every claimed subscription they give away.

Those who boost the group get an exclusive badge and allow the group to post stories, change its appearance and more.

Q: What if I already use my boosts for channels?
Premium users can freely reassign their boosts at any time, spreading them across multiple groups and channels or giving them all to one chat.

Q: How many boosts does a group need?
This depends on the number of members in your group – the smaller the group, the fewer boosts needed.

Q: Can I get more boosts?
Gifting Premium subscriptions to friends and family will add extra boosts to your account – or you can host a giveaway for group members.

Q: Are there exclusive features for groups?
Yes! At higher levels, groups can set a custom emoji pack that all members can use in the chat – and unlock unlimited voice transcription for voice and video messages.
