🌟The "No Peace, No Health" campaign by MedSIN OMA is initiative empowering medical students to recognize the essential link between peace and stable healthcare services, the campaign features three interconnected activities:
1️⃣ "Peace and Health" Session: A session highlighting the strong connection between peace and health, encouraging future healthcare professionals to advocate for peace and secure healthcare services.
2️⃣ "Storyteller" Webinar: Distinguished doctors share experiences from the Sudan war, offering insights into the challenges of providing healthcare in conflict zones and inspiring resilience
3️⃣ Toolkit Development and Distribution: A practical guide for medical students and professionals, including key campaign points, advocacy steps for protecting healthcare during conflicts, and promoting peace as integral to health and well-being.

حملة "لا سلام، لا صحة" من قبل MedSIN OMA هي مبادرة تمكن طلاب الطب من التعرف على الصلة الأساسية بين السلام وخدمات الرعاية الصحية المستقرة، وتتميز الحملة بثلاثة أنشطة مترابطة:
1️⃣ سيشن "السلام والصحة": جلسة تسلط الضوء على العلاقة القوية بين السلام والصحة، وتشجيع المتخصصين في الرعاية الصحية في المستقبل على الدعوة إلى السلام وتأمين خدمات الرعاية الصحية.
2️⃣ ندوة عبر الإنترنت "Storyteller": يشارك الأطباء الخبرات من حرب السودان، ويقدمون رؤى حول تحديات توفير الرعاية الصحية في مناطق النزاع والقدرة على الصمود الملهم
3️⃣تطوير كتيّب وتوزيعه: دليل عملي لطلاب الطب والمهنيين، بما في ذلك نقاط الحملة الرئيسية، وخطوات الدعوة لحماية الرعاية الصحية أثناء النزاعات، وتعزيز السلام كجزء لا يتجزأ من الصحة والرفاه.

من خلال إشراك المشاركين في هذه الأنشطة، تهدف حملة "لا سلام ولا صحة" إلى تعزيز الحوار حول أهمية حماية الرعاية الصحية أثناء النزاعات وتعزيز السلام كوسيلة لتحسين النتائج الصحية.

Dear MedSIN-OMA Members,

I hope you are all doing well and in good health!

I am contacting you today with immense pleasure to open the call for MedSIN-Sudan Delegation to the IFMSA 73rd General Assembly, August Meeting 2024 which is taking place in Tampere, Finland from the 1st till the 7th of August 2024.

Being the highest forum for both Decision-Making and communication in IFMSA yearly, the August Meeting represents an incredible opportunity for you as this event promises to be a platform for collaboration, learning, and advocacy, where you can connect with like-minded individuals from around the world and make a meaningful impact.
Location: Tampere, Finland.
Dates: 1st till the 7th of August 2024.
Available Spots: 5 - 8 (depending on the participation of MedSIN-Sudan TOs).
Fees: 250 Euros.

What’s a Support Letter [SL]?
It’s a document containing the name of the applicant, the LMO of the applicant, and including the signature of the applicant in addition to the signature & stamp of the LMO President. It serves as a contract between the applicant, the LMO, and MedSIN-Sudan.

Application process:
- Upload your CORRECTLY FILLED support letter signed by your LMO President. If the LMO President is an applicant, then another Executive Board member from the LMO must sign the document instead.

- Make sure the name of the meeting is written correctly: The 73rd IFMSA General Assembly August Meeting 2024.
- Upload the latest version of your Curriculum Vitae.

- Submit your application through the submission form following the requirements.
Submission Form: HERE.
- The shortlisted applicants will undergo interviews to assess the above-mentioned points. The schedule will be sent following applicants' validity.
- Deadline for SL submission is Thursday,
25th of April 2024, 23:59 GMT+2 (Sudan local time)
- Deadline for Applications Friday, 26th of April 2024, 23:59 GMT+2 (Sudan local time)

Validity Criteria:
1. Correctly filled-out support letter that is signed by the applicant, signed and stamped by the LMO President.
2. Filled out CV according to the provided template.
3. Filled out application form before the deadline.

Payment Process and Support Letters Precautions and Constraints:
In previous IFMSA meetings, in order to avoid any debts to MedSIN-Sudan that can subsequently affect our voting rights and membership status within IFMSA, the MedSIN-Sudan EB would collect the fees in person from selected delegates before confirming their spot. However, due to the Armed Conflict situation and the inapplicability of that process, the Support Letter for participation has been amended to indicate that any damage or debt due to a delegate’s participation or unwarranted cancellation will be an official debt that the LMO undertakes to pay. Until the process of payment is figured out, any applicant who submits a Support Letter and is subsequently selected, the LMO will be immediately under debt to MedSIN-Sudan until their fees are paid. Please be VERY AWARE of this when signing the Support Letters for your applicants.
