"And Allah made it not except as [a sign of] good tidings for you and to reassure your hearts thereby. And victory is not except from Allah, the Exalted in Might, the Wise."

The Prophet (ﷺ) never criticized any food (he was invited to) but he used to eat if he liked the food, and leave it if he disliked it.
عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ مَا عَابَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم طَعَامًا قَطُّ، إِنِ اشْتَهَاهُ أَكَلَهُ، وَإِنْ كَرِهَهُ تَرَكَهُ.

۞ أَلَمْ يَأْنِ لِلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوٓا۟ أَن تَخْشَعَ قُلُوبُهُمْ لِذِكْرِ ٱللَّهِ وَمَا نَزَلَ مِنَ ٱلْحَقِّ وَلَا يَكُونُوا۟ كَٱلَّذِينَ أُوتُوا۟ ٱلْكِتَـٰبَ مِن قَبْلُ فَطَالَ عَلَيْهِمُ ٱلْأَمَدُ فَقَسَتْ قُلُوبُهُمْ ۖ وَكَثِيرٌ مِّنْهُمْ فَـٰسِقُونَ.
Has the time not come for those who have believed that their hearts should become humbly submissive at the remembrance of Allah and what has come down of the truth? And let them not be like those who were given the Scripture before, and a long period passed over them, so their hearts hardened; and many of them are defiantly disobedient.
Al-Hadeed, 57:16

Mu’adh ibn Anas reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “The best of faith is to love for the sake of Allah, to hate for the sake of Allah, and to work your tongue in the remembrance of Allah.” Mu’adh said, “How is it, O Messenger of Allah?” The Prophet said, “That you love for people what you love for yourself, and you hate for them what you hate for yourself, and you speak goodness or remain silent.”
Musnad Aḥmad 21627
عن معاذ بن أنس قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَفْضَلُ الْإِيمَانِ أَنْ تُحِبَّ لِلَّهِ وَتُبْغِضَ فِي اللَّهِ وَتُعْمِلَ لِسَانَكَ فِي ذِكْرِ اللَّهِ قَالَ وَمَاذَا يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ قَالَ وَأَنْ تُحِبَّ لِلنَّاسِ مَا تُحِبُّ لِنَفْسِكَ وَتَكْرَهَ لَهُمْ مَا تَكْرَهُ لِنَفْسِكَ وَأَنْ تَقُولَ خَيْرًا أَوْ تَصْمُتَ

من راقب الله في سره، حفظه الله في حركاته في سره وعلانيته
The one who bears in mind the fact that Allah is watching his thoughts and his heart, Allah will protect him from falling short in what he does both in secret and openly.

إن كان لا يرجوك إلا محسن**فبمن يلوذ ويستجير المجرم
مالي إليك وسيلة إلا الرجا**وجميل عفوك ثم أني مسلم
“My Lord, my sins have become so great
But I know that your forgiveness is greater
I call upon you humbly as you have commanded
So if you reject me, then who will show me mercy?
If only the righteous are allowed to call upon you
Then who does the criminal retreat to?
I have nothing to hold onto except my hopes in you
And onto your pardoning. After all, I am a Muslim

فلا تتسخط من وقائع الاقدار،
so do not be angry with facts of fate,
واصبر فإن الله يحب الصابرين.

Quraan 20:46

Tafseer ibn Katheer:
He (Allah) said:"Fear not, verily, I am with you both, hearing and seeing."
meaning; "Do not fear him (Fir`awn), for verily, I am with you and I hear your speech and his speech as well. I see your place and I see his place as well. Nothing is hidden from Me of your affair. Know that his forehead is in My Hand, and he does not speak, breathe, or use any force, except by My leave and after My command. I am with you by My protection, My help and My support.
