👈 To express the occurrence of an event from a time in the past until now, the words "recent" and "last" are used, with the difference that when we use numbers, the word "last" is used, not "recent".

Therefore, the following sentence is wrong:

✔️ Over the last 30 years there has been a great deal of industrial development.
